PK1850	Parker No. 20 Lucky Curve Fountain Pen, US, ca. 1905, mottled red and black hard rubber with slip cap, eyedropper fill – fills only from a bottle. Clear barrel imprint reads: George S Parker Fountain Pen, Janesville Wis USA, Pat Jan 9, 94 June 28 98, Jan 8 05, Jun 6 05 with Lucky Curve Banner in center. Parker 14KT gold nib is marked: Parker Lucky Curve Pen 2, keyhole vent, flexible fine point, lucky curve is intact. Measures 5 5/8 inches long. The color is strangely oxidized! Some of the black is crisp and shiny, other parts are turning brown, red has good color. No cap lip cracks, no damage, only the color issue noted above. A nice early Parker Lucky Curve in very good condition.	$225
PK1851	Parker No. 16 Jack Knife Safety Fountain Pen, US, ca. 1915, black hard rubber with gold fill Heath filigree. Ringtop. Button fill – fills only from a bottle. Parker 14KT gold nib is marked: Parker Lucky Curve Pen, heart shaped vent hole, very flexible medium to broad point. Measures 4 5/8 inches long. Barrel filigree marked at top edge: Parker Fountain Pen Pat 6-30-91 1-3-05. Indicia is not engraved. Black hard rubber is just barely oxidized, all still black, but not quite as shiny as it should be, especially in the filigree areas. Just a hint of brassing at high points of filigree. Very good condition.	$500
PK1869	Parker Lady Duofold Fountain Pen in Mandarin Yellow - perfect color and NO cracks or damage, one of the nicest examples you'll see! Ringtop, triple gold filled cap bands. Button fill. Measures 4.5 inches long. Perfect color on both barrel and black hard rubber top, section and blind cap, crisp milling. Parker Duofold 14KT gold nib with Christmas tree feed, firm fine point. Pen is restored to working order.	$275

PK1802	Parker Vacumatic Junior Fountain Pen and Pencil Set - ca. 1937. Burgundy marbled with gold filled trim. FP has double black jewels, vacumatic filling, Parker 14KT gold nib in firm fine point. FP Barrel is engraved: To Anton Svoboda From His Fellow Workers. FP measures 4.75 inches long. Matching pencil has black cap jewel, twist activated mechanism uses 1.1mm dia leads. Pencil measures 4 5/8 inches long. High point brassing on both pieces, the FP has the barrel end jewel, but the gold filled tassie is missing. Aside from the issues mentioned, in very good condition.	$180
PK1805	Parker Vacumatic Junior, ca. 1936. Green and black marbled, gold filled trim, double cap bands, double black jewels. Vacumatic filling, aluminum lockdown filler unit. This pen fills only from a bottle. Measures 4 7/8 inches long. Parker Arrow14KT gold nib is marked: USA Parker 26. Firm fine point. Barrel end tassie is well brassed, but clip, cap bands and cap tassie are much better with just a bit of high point brassing. Imprint is clear and easily readable. Transparent center section of barrel is well ambered. Overall very nice!	$180
PK1807	Parker Vacumatic Junior, ca. mid-late 1930s, grey pearl striped including section and striped double jewels. Nickel trim, triple cap bands. Vacumatic filling, lockdown style filler unit, 14KT gold Parker Arrow nib is marked: Parker USA with engraved arrow. Firm extra fine point. Pen measures 4 5/8 inches long. Trim shows typical high point brassing to cap tassie, clip end and sides, the barrel end tassie is almost totally brassed. There is some discoloration at barrel end above blind cap. Not your everyday run of the mill Vacumatic!	$175
PK1852	Parker Vacumatic Pencil, date code 1936, emerald green pearl stripes, gold filled trim, triple cap bands, green striped cap jewel. Feathered arrow clip. Twist mechanism uses 1.1mm diameter lead. Measures 4 3/16 inches long. Dia at cap band is 10.31mm	$75

PK1855	Parker Vacumatic Pencil, date code 1943, golden brown-reddish pearl stripes, This is an odd brown striped color, I've had one other in the past, if you didn't hold it up to the common brown striped, you may not notice. But this brown has reddish hues in the pattern. Gold filled trim, //\\//\\ art deco engraved cap band, black cap jewel. Clip is match to blue diamond style FP clip. Twist mechanism uses 0.9mm diameter lead. Measures 5 inches long. Dia at cap band is 9.54mm	$70

PARKER VP

VPs were not made for long, they are sort of a compilation of several Parkers - a predecessor to the 75, they incorporate a similar nib and the adjustable section, the pseudo-aerometric filling system of the 51s and a look easily confused with a 61 until you remove the cap and see the open style instead of hooded nib!

The VP has an adjustable section with markings so you can turn the nib section to comfortably fit your hand, and an aerometric type filler using a clear acrylic insert instead of the rubber sac used in the 51 and 21 series pens.

PK1833	Parker 41 Mechanical Pencil, US, dark grey barrel, lustraloy cap, black cap jewel. "41" imprint on cap edge directly below the clip point. Measures 5 inches long. Twist mech uses 0.9mm dia leads. Parker 41 pencils are far less common that 51 pencils! Excellent condition.	$45

Parker 45 Fountain Pens have been a mainstay of the Parker line since the late 1960s and are still made today for the UK market. Well made, reasonably priced and all around good writers, the Parker 45 makes a great pen for everyday use or for someone just getting started with fountain pens.

Parker 45s are cartridge/converter fill. Converters are available separately - we have both original and current production converters to fit these pens. Complimentary ink cartridges are included with each Parker 45 purchased.

Vintage Parker 45 Pens

PK1813

Parker 45 (?) Fountain Pen - very early, dare I say transitional type model. The barrel, section and nib are identical to the Eversharp pens that evolved into the Parker 45. Metal cap is the typical matte st/steel finish. Clip is polished steel and exactly the same length and design as on the regular Parker 45s - but there are no feathers stamped on the top part of the clip - just a plain, smooth clip. Cap edge is marked Parker on the front lower edge and the back edge carries the Parker "oval-arrow" logo with Made in USA below. Semi exposed steel nib in fine point. No converter with this pen, not sure which one it would have been! Very unusual and in excellent condition with exception of a small mark on cap below the clip end.

Parker 25 Fountain Pen, UK, all stainless steel with black section and clip trim. One of Parker's odder shaped pens - note the tubular barrel, as well as the tubular nib! Steel nib in a wide medium point, not quite broad, but not your traditional Parker medium. Cartridge/converter fill - Parker slide converter included. Measures 5.25 inches long. Very good condition.

Refilling your
Vintage Mechanical Pencils

Most mechanical pencils made before the late 1960s and some even after that are refilled by feeding lead in from the Point End. Those that feed from the barrel (below the eraser) are a fairly modern invention! Don't be fooled by leads in the barrel, in older pencils, that was simply a space to store a few extra leads, but that's it - just storage. As always with vintage writing instruments, exceptions will crop up!

The instruction below are from a Sheaffer package insert, but apply to most older mechanical pencils.
