PK1850	Parker No. 20 Lucky Curve Fountain Pen, US, ca. 1905, mottled red and black hard rubber with slip cap, eyedropper fill – fills only from a bottle. Clear barrel imprint reads: George S Parker Fountain Pen, Janesville Wis USA, Pat Jan 9, 94 June 28 98, Jan 8 05, Jun 6 05 with Lucky Curve Banner in center. Parker 14KT gold nib is marked: Parker Lucky Curve Pen 2, keyhole vent, flexible fine point, lucky curve is intact. Measures 5 5/8 inches long. The color is strangely oxidized! Some of the black is crisp and shiny, other parts are turning brown, red has good color. No cap lip cracks, no damage, only the color issue noted above. A nice early Parker Lucky Curve in very good condition.	$225
PK1851	Parker No. 16 Jack Knife Safety Fountain Pen, US, ca. 1915, black hard rubber with gold fill Heath filigree. Ringtop. Button fill – fills only from a bottle. Parker 14KT gold nib is marked: Parker Lucky Curve Pen, heart shaped vent hole, very flexible medium to broad point. Measures 4 5/8 inches long. Barrel filigree marked at top edge: Parker Fountain Pen Pat 6-30-91 1-3-05. Indicia is not engraved. Black hard rubber is just barely oxidized, all still black, but not quite as shiny as it should be, especially in the filigree areas. Just a hint of brassing at high points of filigree. Very good condition.	$500
PK1871	Parker Duofold Desk Set - it's a beauty! Onyx base in primarily white and caramel colors with just a hint of grey in the background. Black socket with gold filled bands at top and bottom. Swivels 360 degrees. Includes Duofold Desk Fountain Pen in Red Permanite (yes, it's orange), black taper. The nib is older than the pen and we left it just as it was because it's a great nib! Parker 14KT nib is marked: Parker Lucky Curve P3X. Very flexible italic about 1.0mm at rest, wider when flexed. Definitely falls in that "wet noodle flex" category! Base measures 3 x 4.5 inches. Pen is 7.25 inches long. Base is in excellent condition, no chips or nicks. Desk pen has some light toothmarks at the taper end and otherwise is in very good condition.	$300
PK1942	Parker Duofold Junior Desk Set with stunning Mandarin Yellow Fountain Pen – Marble base is in tones of pale green, ivory and caramel which blend perfectly with the mandarin pen. Base measures 3.5 x 4 inches, partial original Parker label on the rear, one small nick on top right edge toward rear of base. Black pen holder with double gold filled bands. Parker Junior sized desk pen in Mandarin Yellow with black taper and section. Parker 14KT gold nib is marked: Parker Duofold Pen B, firm broad point. Original Christmas Tree style feed. FP is a button filler – fills only from a bottle. Mandarin yellow Duofolds are difficult to fine in good shape, this unusual celluloid was very prone to cracks and staining. There are no cracks, no staining on this pen, the color is perfect. The Parker imprint on barrel is however, worn and not as crisp as it should be. The very tip of the taper was obviously chipped at one time, but has been smoothed and looks nice, it is not as pointed as it was originally. FP measures 7.5 inches long. Excellent overall condition and as mentioned above, a hard to find pen.	$750
PK1950	Parker Duofold, ca. 1941, blue and grey striped with gold filled trim, black cap jewel, double gold filled cap bands, vacumatic filling - fills only from a bottle. Parker Pen USA 14KT gold nib is a responsive medium/broad point. Just a tad of high point brassing, otherwise very good condition.	$100
PK1957	Parker Duofold Jr. Mechanical Pencil, ca. mid-1920s, bright orange commonly referred to as red, gold filled trim, barrel imprint reads: Parker Duofold Jr U.S.A. Twist activated mechanism uses 1.1mm diameter leads. Measures 5 1/8 inches long. Tad of brassing to clip ball, one shallow ding on edge of crown, otherwise very good.	$55

PK1855	Parker Vacumatic Pencil, date code 1943, golden brown-reddish pearl stripes, This is an odd brown striped color, I've had one other in the past, if you didn't hold it up to the common brown striped, you may not notice. But this brown has reddish hues in the pattern. Gold filled trim, //\\//\\ art deco engraved cap band, black cap jewel. Clip is match to blue diamond style FP clip. Twist mechanism uses 0.9mm diameter lead. Measures 5 inches long. Dia at cap band is 9.54mm	$70

PK1887	Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen, ca. 1941 - brown striped celluloid, gold filled trim. Double black jewels. Cap band has engraved /\/\/\ pattern. Clip is blue diamond style. Parker 14KT gold arrow nib is marked: Parker USA and is a firm medium point. Measures 5.25 inches long. Light brassing to tassie and cap band edges. Overall very good condition and a nice example of a double jewel Vac.	$275

PARKER VP

VPs were not made for long, they are sort of a compilation of several Parkers - a predecessor to the 75, they incorporate a similar nib and the adjustable section, the pseudo-aerometric filling system of the 51s and a look easily confused with a 61 until you remove the cap and see the open style instead of hooded nib!

The VP has an adjustable section with markings so you can turn the nib section to comfortably fit your hand, and an aerometric type filler using a clear acrylic insert instead of the rubber sac used in the 51 and 21 series pens.

Parker 45 Fountain Pens have been a mainstay of the Parker line since the late 1960s and are still made today for the UK market. Well made, reasonably priced and all around good writers, the Parker 45 makes a great pen for everyday use or for someone just getting started with fountain pens.

Parker 45s are cartridge/converter fill. Converters are available separately - we have both original and current production converters to fit these pens. Complimentary ink cartridges are included with each Parker 45 purchased.

Parker Classic

PK1959	Parker Classic Ballpoint Pen, US, ca. 1990s, gold electroplated lined finish, push button activated to extend and retract refill, uses Parker style BP or Gel refills, a fresh gel refill has been installed. Measures 5 inches long. This pen definitely shows some patina from years of use, it is not the bright shiny all gold finished pen it once way, now showing hints of silver on all high points. It’s taken on a faux antique type of look! Won’t make a collectible but is certainly a very respectable everyday pen to carry.	$15
PK1960	Parker Classic Flighter Ballpoint & Pencil Set in original box, ca. 1980s, all matte finished stainless steel with gold plated clips and pencil ferrule. Ballpoint is cap actuated and uses Parker style BP or Gel refills, measures 5 1/8 inches long. Mechanical Pencil is twist activated and uses 0.9mm diameter leads, measures 5 inches long. The ballpoint pen and pencil, as well as the box are all in excellent condition.	$50

Cartridge/converter fill – Parker piston style converter included, Parker cartridges sold separately. Circular style polished steel nib (from Parker’s funky nib era!) is a firm fine point. Parker BIG RED Pens
PK1951	Parker Big Red Ballpoint Pen, ca. 1980s, Black cap and barrel with gold plated clip and trim. This model is the streamlined shape with slightly tapered barrel end. Originally started life using a Parker porous point refill but those were discontinued long ago, so pen has been retrofit to use a Parker style ballpoint or gel refill. Measures 5.5 inches long. Light surface wear showing on the black finish, but overall very good.	$20

PK1868	Parker "95" Fountain Pen - France, black lacque finish, gold electroplated trim, matte black section, semi exposed nib is a medium point - leaning toward the broad end of medium, writes quite a bold line. Cartridge/converter fill - new Parker piston style converter is included. Excellent condition and a very nice writer!	$75
S629	Parker Sonnet Acrylic Pen Display - New, never used Parker clear acrylic counter display with a printed cardboard insert for the Sonnet pens. Easy to remove and replace with a photo of your kids or perhaps your favorite pens that are on display! Holds 2 pens, measures 12 x 10 inches, height of acrylic cover over pen display area is 2 inches. Perfect condition.	$10
PK1933	Parker Inflection Presentation Box - This is the fanciest box I've ever seen for a Parker Inflection or similarly mid-range pen! I believe it must have been for a special presentation, most likely out of Parker's ad specialty division. I like the clever quote on the side of the box: "A raised eyebrow, a pause, a smile. The art of communication is in the inflection." Cylindrical metal box wrapped in shades of blue, gold, grey and white. Inside is a black Parker Inflection box - brand new, but no pen. Darn. There is also a card to match the exterior of the box that is a price list for Inflections and it says "Thanks for Choosing Parker". New condition.	$10

Refilling your
Vintage Mechanical Pencils

Most mechanical pencils made before the late 1960s and some even after that are refilled by feeding lead in from the Point End. Those that feed from the barrel (below the eraser) are a fairly modern invention! Don't be fooled by leads in the barrel, in older pencils, that was simply a space to store a few extra leads, but that's it - just storage. As always with vintage writing instruments, exceptions will crop up!

The instruction below are from a Sheaffer package insert, but apply to most older mechanical pencils.
